Phanteks Newest Products for PC builders
PC hobbyist may not be aware of Phantek’s new Evolv Chassis and SFX Power supply. The Evlov Shift XT is designed with space in mind with three different build modes: Compact, Aircooled, and Liquid Cooled. With a more powerful chassis requires an equally powerful power supply. The Evolv Shift SFX is available for $169.99 while using a “92-milimeter fan that optimizes noise by staying at zero RPM while under sub-30 percent load.” As we approach Q2 of 2022, Phantek’s has more plans for greater support for custom builds and will continue to remain an active competitor of Nviadia and Intel.
Overwatch League Season 5
The stipulations for involvement in the official Overwatch League included five official rosters players submitted by January 3. Activision has ensured that every team met that request but several teams left fans waiting for the player announcements. At the time of writing this, New York Excelsiors and Los Angeles Valiant still have not announced their 5-player starting roster, and several teams have not announced their official subs, including Atlanta Reign and Seoul Dynasty. During such a lull in Overwatch’s community, fans are feeling the stress of the lack of updates coming out of OWL. Hopefully, with the newest season quickly approaching, some life can be breathed back into the neglected Overwatch communities.
Update: Fans were quick to be impressed on January 7th with NYXL’s announcement of their full roster and their announcement that the team will be coming back to New York City after previously calling Korea home. Let NYC run Yankee Blue again!
Valorant In EMEA
Valorant is feeling the love in the EU scene; officially known as EMEA. The professional teams competing in VCT are returning after having such a successful season 1 with only 4 teams dropping out– Ninjas in Pyjamas, Ballista Esports, Cream Real Betis, Team Singularity. The amateur scene is also reflecting Valorants growth in the EU with more tournaments, and special events popping up during Q1 for 2022.
Newest Valorant Agent being Teased
Some of this renewed energy desperately needed in the Valorant scene also come from the announcement of the newest Agent, Neon, who was released January 5 by riot’s team. While it’s too early to know specifically what Neon’s skills will be, gamers are quick to speculate and pour over the details of the new cinematic featuring her. Neon Fans will have to wait until more official information will be released by Riot’s team. It’s safe to assume that Neon will not be included in the newest update titled Episode 4: Disruption, which should be released the second week of January, complete with a new battle pass.
Zeri builds hype for League of Legends players
Quick to hype another title under riot’s franchise, League of Legends has also released another tease for a Champion, Zeri. LOL players do have more information regarding Zeri that can be found on her champions page as well as a short biography alluding where Zeri comes from in the rich lore of LOL. Arcane fans may also celebrate the announcement of Zeri as there is heavy indication that She will be included in Season 2. However, much to fan’s disappointment, many of Zeri’s involvement and roles are still left up to speculation until her full kit is released.
