Overwatch 2 Beta or Early Access might be coming sooner than expected!

BlizzTrack, a website/application that tracks updates to the client, has shown us that a new Overwatch Dev version has been released - and the version number is 2.0! While this doesn’t give us a proper release date for Overwatch 2, it does confirm that at the least, the new game is available on the developer version of, and it may hint at an Early Access or Beta version being released for players of the Overwatch League some time soon. There might be more news coming soon, but for now, keep an eye on your favorite OWL player’s stream!

A summary of the Nintendo Direct broadcasted on Wednesday 9th at 2pm PT

Nintendo, a company that needs no introduction, held the latest Nintendo Direct on Wednesday, February 9th, at 2pm PT. The livestream was around 40 minutes long, and focused around the company’s games launched for the Nintendo Switch system for the first half of 2022. During the stream, Nintendo announced that Fire Emblem: Three Houses' release date is June 24th, showed a new trailer for Splatoon 3, noted that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is getting a new DLC pass, announced a new 5v5 soccer game in Mario Strikers Battle League, and that no Man's Sky is coming to Switch this year, among more news!

Massive exodus and reports of unpaid employees at Noble Esports

As Jake Lucky managed to capture on a screenshot before not only the tweet, but the entire Twitter account of Noble Esports was deleted, the social media team has reported that they have not been paid for over a month, as well as work samples, as reported by Content Director Alice Chen. On top of that, multiple people from the company have reported that Kyle McDougal, owner of Noble Esports, was not replying to messages about any of the issues either. In the midst of this, Noble’s Partnership Management Dan Goodman tweeted that he was no longer contracted with the company, citing McDougal as the main reason for his departure. He stated that “With all due respect you were warned, advised, and simply were uncomfortable to work with.” In the last few hours, the company’s Twitter account NobleGG was reinstated, and Kyle McDougal made a post noting that the late payments were allegedly due to “bank issues.”

Fortnite Championship Series Chapter 3 Season 1 will have a $3 million prize pool on 2022

The 2022 Fortnite Championship Series (FNCS), which is set to begin on Thursday, February 17th, has been recently announced by Epic Games. Not only will the format change to feature duos as the main attraction, but also offer a whopping $3,008,500 in prizes for those who manage to make it to the end. There will be two Qualifiers for the tournament (Feb 17th/18th and 19th/20th), followed by two weeks of competition, culminating in the semifinals and finals, which are scheduled for February 24th-27th. As the format is now Duos, Epic has decided to increase the number of teams that qualify to the finals directly, with the top 8 teams from each qualifier advancing to the finals. If you wish to participate, your Duos team must rank in the Champion League (Division I, II, or III) or higher in Arena mode to be eligible to compete.

A new season of Apex, Defiance, launched on February 8th!

The 12th season of Apex Legends, named Defiance, has just launched, and it has brought a slew of changes, a new Legend, a new, limited-time mode in Control, and balance shifts to many different weapons, as well as a revamp of Olympus, which has two new PoIs after being ‘sabotaged.’ The most important of these changes, putting aside the Longbow DMR and VK-47 Flatline being craft-only weapons for the season, and changes to Crypto and Caustic, is the release of a new Legend: Mad Maggie, who can pierce through cover and hard surfaces, and gets a speed buff while a shotgun is equipped. Her ultimate, Wrecking Ball, throws a ball that releases speed pads and explodes near enemies.
