A look into the OWL format

With the new season set to start in only a few months, it is worth taking a look at the format that teams will be playing with. The year will begin with the Kickoff Clash, then the Midseason Madness, next the Summer Showdown and ending at the Countdown Cup. The first and third tournaments of the season will be regional competitions, with more teams from each Region participating, featuring eight from the West Region and four from the East Region. The Midseason Madness will be a Global Tournament pitching teams from both Regions against each other throughout the tournament in a double-elimination format across six days. The final tournament of the season, the Countdown Cup, will serve as the play-ins for the postseason. On top of that, the midseason and postseason tournaments will have a huge prize pool of over USD 1 million. Check the schedule for the starting weekend on May 5th below!

Netflix are planning to make a BioShock movie

"We all make choices, but in the end our choices make us,” posted the Netflix-related Twitter account @NetflixGeeked in a shocking announcement: Netflix, 2k and Take-Two are partnering to produce a film adaptation of the beloved video game franchise BioShock. After having registered the trademark for the entire game franchise, including BioShock, BioShock 2, BioShock Infinite and BioShock Rapture, fans expected the announcement to be hitting any time, but it is still great to have confirmation. We cannot wait to see what comes of this partnership, and have our fingers crossed that this new video game movie will not disappoint (like so many others have in the past…).
