Gen.G’s New CEO

Gen.G will have a new CEO stepping in as Chris Park steps down into an advisor. The new CEO, Arnold Hur, has been a part of the organization since 2017, being the 3rd person in the company besides the co-founders. In 2019, he was promoted to COO, and this new position is the next step for his career. Hur will focus on creating community initiatives.

ALTHOUGH Joins Toronto Defiant

A new flex DPS is on the block for Toronto. Jung “ALTHOUGH” Hyun-wook has been added to Defiant’s roster for 2022, moving from London Spitfire. ALTHOUGH was a part of Spitfire since the 2020 season, where he was a rookie. This missing link rounds out Defiant’s damage players, and time will tell if the move was promising for Defiant in 2022.

VALORANT Champions Tour Expands To Oceania

Oceania was missing out from the 2021 VCT, and it was because OCE teams had no opportunities to qualify. 2022 will change that, as LetsPlay.Live has partnered with Riot to bring Oceania teams to the main stage. The teams will be able to qualify for the two Masters events through APAC playoffs. With this change, hopefully it ushers in a new era of VALORANT, one with more regions taking part in the VCT.

As one of the oldest esports organizations, it just makes sense that they come full circle for the newest iteration of Halo esports, an esport that has a storied legacy, much like Complexity itself.
